Old School Lifting ... Learning how to use a kettlebells


My interest in kettle bells came when I was staying away in a hotel, and there was a set of kettlebells. I knew a rough technique, but I still managed to gain some serious bruises on the forearm. This didn't waver my interest in kettlebells, so I then went about getting a personal training session solely on how to use kettlebells. 

All I can say is KETTLEBELLS ARE AMAZING !! There are so many benefits of kettlebells it is unbelievable. Firstly the power that can be developed from a kettlebell routine can probably only be rivalled by learning how to olympic lift correctly. The fact that pretty much all of the kettlebell routines are full body movements it gets your body working as one , and as a result becoming more powerful and more explosive. 

Cardio wise they are brilliant, working out with kettlebells can burn up to 20 calories per minute , thats about as good as running or cycling. Because of this your cardiovascular system will go through the roof ( It is seriously one of the hardest workouts I have had , ) plus because of the cardio , kettlebells will burn fat unlike no other exercise. 

Another good thing is that they are cheap and relatively mobile. When Im back from the gym, I may train once in a gym and the rest with a kettlebell. Or if I am in a hotel or away from a gym, the kettlebell can be taken with me. 

If you are serious about getting into shape ... please look at kettlebells !, you will notice such a difference in your training that you wont find with traditional weights.
